The Maitresse is a perfectly crafted soft-cup spiral stitch ’50s style bra. It’s supportive, comfortable, a 100% period perfect, and definitely What Katie Did’s signature product.

Really, they’re great! and no irritating wires popping out either.

I ran across this photo earlier this week on Pinterest, and I felt like I had to share. We don’t often see images of mature women in our culture, much less mature women in lingerie. It really is a disservice. After all, should women stop feeling good about themselves once they’re past the age of 30?

Beautiful. Hope I look that good.

Amy Adams homage to Rita Hayworth in “Cover Girl and Gilda” by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Vanity Fair (November 2008)

Rita Hayworth pinup from the famous Bob Landry photoshoot for LIFE Magazine (1941). The image of Rita in the satin and lace nightgown made her one of the top two pin-up girls of World War II (the other being Betty Grable). Over five million copies were sent to soldiers, sailors and marines fighting in the war. In 2002, the nightgown sold for $26,888 (wikipedia)
