The first Sven and Mimi story I’ve written in about four months will be appearing on this here Tumblr in about two hours. Not going to lie, I’m just a little bit excited.
Affairs of the heart: A Sven and Mimi short
Sven kissed Mimi on the neck and sank into bed, throwing one arm around her. “Come here.” he said, his fingers pushing into the thin cotton of her t-shirt.
”Don’t.” Mimi pushed him away. “Not tonight. I can’t.” she said, “Don’t want to.”
“Why not?” he asked, nuzzling her shoulder and looking up, his blue eyes tinged with just a hint of kicked puppy.
Mimi looked pensive and turned over onto her side, “I just…ugh.” she sighed heavily and pursed her lips. “Tonight at dinner,” Mimi began, “when Dana was talking to me. She said that she’s been having an affair with some guy she met at work. It just-” she tailed off, her face twisted into a sour grimace.
“Really?” Sven raised an eyebrow, “Shit. Didn’t see that coming. Poor Mark. I guess he doesn’t know, huh?”
“Nope.” Mimi shook her head. “I’m so lucky to have you.” she smiled up at him, her fingertips brushing his jaw. “You wouldn’t, would you?” she asked, “I mean, if you ever felt trapped, you’d tell me, wouldn’t you? We could work it out.”
“Oh, don’t be stupid.” Sven nibbled her lip, “I’m not going to cheat on you, okay. Now stop being silly and come here.” He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.
“Good.” she laid her cheek flat against his bare chest and inhaled, pressing herself flat against him. “But I just felt so tainted by it.”
“Don’t.” he said, rubbing her arm softly, “I would never.” He turned out the light and they sank into darkness. “Ever.” he cupped her face and she nodded silently.
“Okay.” she said, her voice diminished by the dark.
And there, in the dark, her heart opened up, a great chasm between them that not even her endless tears could fill. She clung to him, her last hope, and he held her back desperate to save her from the depths of guilt and fear that filled her heart.

Sometimes things are best when there are no words. All it takes is a touch and the way that Ru nuzzles her neck for Katy’s breath to quicken and her skin to shiver. All it takes is a well-placed kiss or a hand on the shoulder or the way that Ru trails his fingers across the back of her neck for her to gasp.
Best of all is the way he grabs her from behind when they are lying silent in the sheets, dragging her against his naked body, wrapping his arms around her and pressing his mouth against her neck. Peppering kisses across her neck until she twists around in his grip and grinds herself against him silently, revealing everything, her skin humming with desire. No words, just their bodies pressed against each other, writhing, glittering with new sweat and fresh desire and pages upon pages of ancient history. Every touch, every look, every gasp another page.
